About Jim:

Jim has been involved in the life of EMTZA Region since 1982 when he served as the USCJ Regional Director of Central States and Provinces Region until 1987. During that time Jim was also the Regional USY Director or supervisor of the Region. 

Beginning in 1986, Jim was the Spiritual Leader in Sioux City Iowa at Shaare Zion Synagogue until it merged to become Congregation Beth Shalom where Jim worked until 1998. He was also the liaison between USCJ and Congregation Magen Avraham in Omer, Israel, which included printing and publishing their newsletter in his Sioux City office.

Beginning in 2003 until now, Jim has served as the Rabbi’s Associate at Adath Jeshurun in Minnetonka, Minnesota. In Jim’s role at Adath, he works closely with their outreach committee, Inclusion committee, and works with many bar/bat mitzvah students as they prepare their drash speeches. Jim has known and been a positive influence on hundreds of past and present USY’ers.
