How and when do we get to Camp Solomon Schecter?

-This retreat will begin on Friday afternoon and end Sunday at 11am. Transportation is coordinated from your local chapter.

Where is this shabbaton taking place?

-This shabbaton is taking place at Camp Solomon Schechter in Tumwater, WA.

What’s the rooming situation?

-Participants will be staying in cabins on bunk beds with indoor bathrooms in each cabin. Cabins are heated. USYers will need to bring a sleeping bag and towel. We do our best to room people with mutual requests and are typically roomed by grade, but requests are not guaranteed.

What if cost is an obstacle?

-USY & CSS are committed to making this weekend accessible to all participants regardless of financials means. In addition to the subsidized pricing, scholarship funds are available. Scholarships can be requested as part of the registration process.

Who can attend?

-All Jewish youth/teens in 6th-12th grades are welcome to attend! Programming will vary and be age appropriate.

What about COVID?

-Although vaccinations are not required for this shabbaton, one negative COVID test will be required from all participants within 24 hours of the shabbaton.

Cancellation Policy:

• Through January 1st — Full Refund

• Between January 2 – 11th – $50 cancellation fee

• After January 11th — No refunds (unless you have bought purchase protection and are cancelling because of illness. Please see more info below)
