Welcome to Our USY @ 70 Committee

We would like to welcome the USY @ 70 Alumni Committee that will be helping us celebrate all year long! Get to know our Committee Chairs here:

Adam Kligfeld’s journey with USY began as a chapter member and President of Milford/Orange CT USY from 1987-88. In 1988 Adam was elected to serve as the Ct Valley Regional Rel/Ed VP, and from 1989-90 Adam served as the Hanefesh Regional President. In 1990 Adam went on to be elected USY International President. In addition, Adam participated in USY Israel Pilgrimage, USY Eastern European Pilgrimage, and Nativ. Adam continued his involvement with USY by serving as a staff member and Rosh for Eastern Europe/Israel Pilgrimage, as well as serving as International Convention faculty for several years.

Adam has served as Senior Rabbi of Temple Beth Am in Los Angeles since 2009. Adam first served as a rabbi in Monroe, NY for 9 years before moving to LA.  His most recent work has focused on interfaith relationship-building, as well as integrating Jewish thought, practice and nomenclature into meditation and mindfulness forms and practices that stem from the eastern faith and cultural traditions. Adam is married to Havi, and proud father to Noa (who also served as USY International President), Ayden, and Lev. Adam is an avid Yankee fan, biker, and dog-owner.

Staci Zemlak-Kenter grew up in Baltimore and was President of Seaboard Region from 2000-2001. She participated in USY on Wheels in 1999, and USY Israel Pilgrimage/Poland Seminar in 2000. Wheels is a great passion of Staci’s, and she returned to staff in 2002, 2003, and 2004, and served as a Wheels Rosh in 2004 and 2005. She also met her husband through staffing Wheels! While Staci grew up in Seaboard, her husband Eytan was a Koach Divisional Board member in METNY, their son Boaz was born in HaNegev, and their daughter Reuvi was born in ECRUSY – making them an International USY family! Staci and her family currently live in Ottawa, Ontario, where she serves as the Director of Development for the Ottawa Jewish Community School.

We would also like to extend a mazal tov to the rest of the committee members – Audrey Beerman, Alan Edelman, Linda Moskowitz, Danu Rojzman, Adam Rosen, Richard Skolnik, and Charlene Thrope! We can’t wait to celebrate USY @ 70 with you!
