Rockin' the Capital

There’s only one USY International Convention...
And this year, it’s in Washington, D.C.! From December 21-25, 2008, all roads will lead to the beautiful Marriott Wardman Park in the United States Capital as it becomes the official International headquarters of USY.

There's nothing like the USY International Convention! That's because International Convention brings together more than 1,200 USYers from all across North America for five nonstop days of programs and fun. Whether you are looking for social action, ruach sessions, or summer program reunions, there's something for everyone at USY International Convention.

You'll simply love every minute of International Convention. There's no better time or place to catch up with old friends and meet new ones from all over USY. And as anyone can tell you, the memories and friendships you make keep going even after Convention ends. From an awesome and exciting opening session to excellent programs to free time spent singing around the piano to just being with old and new friends, it's going to be fabulous for everyone at Convention.

This December, USY will head to the home of the U.S Capital and enjoy all the excitement that Washington, D.C. has to offer! Convention delegates will enjoy post-Convention programming in the D.C. area and visit some of history's one-of-a-kind attractions. Located just steps from the Oval Office, the beautiful Marriott Wardman Park will provide luxurious accommodations for our visit.

Each day at Convention will be more exciting than the day before as we celebrate Israel's 60th Birthday! Through guest speakers, concerts, multimedia events and interactive workshops, you’ll learn about Israel's culture and rich history. You'll have a chance to give back to the community through Social Action projects, visit our own Ben Yehuda Street, and celebrate at a Tel Aviv Disco!! There will also be special sessions for members of the Heschel Honor Society, 613 Mitzvot Club and HeChalutzim, as well as workshops focusing on leadership skills and key issues for Jewish teens.

So don’t just sit there! Join us at International Convention 2008 this December in Washington, D.C., where USY will be Rockin' the Capital!
