SA/TO By Month
Topic Information: November

It is Jewish tradition to respect our elders – besides, if it were not for them, we would not have tradition. Many people are forgotten as they age. We never, however, seem to remember all of their accomplishments and struggles that have helped to develop the world we live in today. We are the last generation of youth that will be able to make contacts with actual Holocaust survivors. After they all pass away, it is up to us to share their stories. We can only do this by interacting with them. Today, there are often times when our grandparents get thrown into Nursing Homes and we forget about them. Why is that? It is due to them that we were born. They deserve their due respect. There are many things in which we can do to show our appreciation to the elderly and that is why this month the SA/TO IGB chose to bring to you Respecting the Elderly. Explore the many options that you have and bring them home to your chapter or even your region.
