Allocations Awareness

C10: Yad Sarah
Yad Sarah is an organization in Israel that has centers throughout the country with volunteers, providing for the elderly, disabled, isolated, and homebound. It provides medical equipment on loan to anyone who requires it, asking only a nominal fully refundable deposit, making home care more and more possible. Yad Sarah centers are always open to be sure to provide for emergencies. Last year, the money that USY allocated to Yad Sarah went towards respiratory support equipment that help people breathe, giving them a consistent supply of oxygen.

If you have a general care about the wellness of those who need medical assistance by means of necessary machinery, you should look into Yad Sarah when your chapter is deciding where it is going to allocate its Tikun Olam money. If you're concerned and speak with your Chapter Advisor, President, and/or SA/TO VP, your chapter may end up allocating its money there and in doing so, you will be helping to ensure that people in Israel who need medical equipment/assistance will get everything that they need.
