Allocations Awareness

D22: Tsad Kadima
One in every 400 babies is diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. That is a huge number considering that would be 35 USYers and approximately 15,700 Israelis. Cerebral Palsy is a group of disorders characterized by loss of movement or loss of other nerve functions. The disorders are caused by injuries to the brain that occur during fetal development or near the time of birth.

Tsad Kadima is doing something about the problem of Cerebral Palsy in Israel. Established in 1987, "Tsad Kadima" (a step forward) is an association of parents of children with motor dysfunctions and professionals, whose goal is to use the Conductive Education approach to develop the adaptation ability, the learning and the functional personality development of the child with motor disorders. They work to rebuild a positive and improved cycle of efficient and rewarding interactions with the environment through clear goals of achievement and experience, which foster motivation through success.
