Allocations Awareness

A8: Ramah Chile
Ramah Chile, nestled in the Jewish Community of Santiago, Chile, is a Jewish summer program for members of the Beth El youth movement, the Conservative Movement's affiliate in South America. They work in conjunction with Jewish Authorities in South American, like the Seminario Rabbinico Latinoamericano [the only Conservative Seminary in South American] to offer Chilean children a Conservative Jewish camp life for a few weeks.

TO money provides scholarships to children who would otherwise not be able to have the strong Jewish experience Ramah gives them. For many of these kids, their summer camp may be the only time they live a formal Jewish, yet it serves to give them a sense of Jewish identity and pride to last the rest of their lives.

USY gives so many of us our sense of Jewish pride in an atmosphere where we are able to live Jewishly. If this is an important aspect of your life, think about giving others an opportunity for this same feeling by allocating your TO money to Ramah Chile.
