Allocations Awareness

C6: Magen David Adom
Magen David Adom (MDA) is the Israeli equivalent to the American Red Cross. MDA provides National Emergency Medical, Ambulance, Blood and Disaster Services, which benefit Israel's entire population. MDA needs to be ready to act at all times as they are the first on the scene within minutes, responding to every medical emergency – births, heart attacks, roadside accidents, and acts of terrorism. Money that is allocated to MDA helps to supply and equip MDA with ambulances, bloodmobiles, and cardiac rescue ambulances in addition to providing supplies and equipment for the MDA Blood Bank and MDA Fractionation Institute, which comprise the MDA National Blood Services Center in Ramat Gan, Israel and the MDA Emergency Medical Centers located throughout Israel. The money allocated money also helps MDA by providing scholarships and education funds to train MDA paramedics, laboratory technicians, and scientists.

If you're the kind of person who is interested in making sure that people (Israelis) can get the medical attention that they need as soon as they need it, you should consider Magen David Adom when deciding where your chapter is going to allocate its money. If you allocate money there, you will be helping people (i.e. victims of terror attacks, car accidents, or any other medical catastrophes that require, trained, professional assistance) get the treatments they need when they need it. Don't forget that the sooner you decide where your chapter is going to allocate its money, the more successful its fundraising can be because you'll be able to tell people exactly where their money is going.
