Allocations Awareness

D10: Israel Elwyn
Israel Elwyn is an organization that believes that everyone should be an active participant in society through inclusive rather than exclusive interaction. Israel Elwyn serves more than 1500 children and adults with special needs. The ultimate goal of all of Israel Elwyn's programs is to provide individuals with the tools needed to lead more independent lives within the community. Hundreds of adults now work in jobs in the community. Hundreds of children have been mainstreamed and dozens of teenagers and adults with disabilities have moved from a residential campus to more independent, dignified living within the society at large.

If it often troubles you when you see people in our society with special needs experience difficulty in becoming active members of society, you should seek more information about Israel Elwyn. It may end up being one of the organizations to which your chapter allocates its Tikun Olam funds.
