D3: Center for the Advancement of the Blind
The Center for the Advancement of the Blind, located in Tzfat in Israel, aims to serve its community at large by helping those who are blind or vision impaired, regardless of age, ethnic/religious orientation, or their ability to pay. The organization's activities focus on helping people with vision problems to function effectively by instilling in them the motivation to achieve ambitions and cope with their lives.

Some of the money that USY has allocated to the Center for the Advancement of the Blind in the past, has gone towards the summer camps that the Center sponsors for blind and visually impaired children between the ages of 7 and 18. Not only do these camps allow the children to have meaningful experiences, but it also gives their families a break from their constant care. The camps are open to Israel's general public, and since their inception, over 1,100 children have been enable to enjoy their school vacations at the Center.

If blindness and/or vision impairment are things that you can personally relate to, you should seek further information and interest into the Center for the Advancement of the Blind. Your chapter can decide to allocate its money there, and in doing so, you'd be helping all kinds of people in Israel with vision problems.
