Allocations Awareness

B1: Bayit Cham
Bayit Cham is an organization in Israel that is devoted to the rehabilitation of people (from all backgrounds) who are suffering mental and/or emotional illnesses. The main goal of Bayit Cham is to break the cycle in which people suffering from such illnesses will constantly be at home, then hospitalized, then home, then hospitalized, etc. It was discovered that this often comes from lack of steady work as a result of the impaired functioning and concentration of people who have undergone a mental and/or emotional illness.

When someone needs to be rehabilitated, this is what Bayit Cham does: The person to be rehabilitated is assessed and the Bayit Cham staff helps them solve their personal problems in addition to organizing a workplace for this person (according to his/her capabilities and talents) in normal society. He/she is guided until a regular job is settled and as his/her condition improves, he/she will become more and more self-sufficient.

If you've ever witnessed how someone who has suffered from mental and/or emotional illnesses and it troubled you to see how hard it was for them to adapt back into society, Bayit Cham may be an allocations organization that you can connect with as it assists people in similar situations.
