Allocations Awareness

D2: Alyn
Alyn is a nonprofit organization and the Alyn Hospital is one of the world's leading specialists in the active and intensive rehabilitation of children in addition to being the only facility of its kind in Israel. Alyn treats physically handicapped children and young adults suffering from a wide range of diseases as well as congenital and acquired conditions. The patients at Alyn are treated for their physical handicaps regardless of religion or ethnic background. To some of its patients, Alyn is a home and in order for survival, the patient has no other options. Alyn has a staff of caring, experienced medical professionals who utilize the latest equipment and techniques, working hard to help ease its patients' complex physical handicaps.

People who can make connections with Alyn are usually those interested in treating disabled children on various levels. If you think that numerous types of therapy (i.e. music therapy, hydrotherapy, art therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech therapy, etc.) are important in aiding disabled children, Alyn is something you will personally find great interest in. Alyn assists both Arab and Israeli children, some of which are at Alyn as a result of terrorism, so if assisting victims of terror attacks is on your priority list, Alyn could be the answer. The money that USY allocates to Alyn is most often used to enhance its therapy programs, purchase appliances/equipment, and create special trips for Alyn's patients.
