  • A Jewish extremist kills 29 Muslim worshippers in Hebron.

  • A suicide bomber blows up a bus in Tel Aviv, killing 24 and wounding dozens.

  • The Gaza-Jericho Agreement between Israel and the PLO is signed in Cairo.
  • An Israel-Jordan peace treaty is signed, establishing full diplomatic relations between the two states.

  • Morocco and Tunisia interest offices are opened.

  • Yitzchak Rabin, Shimon Peres, and Yasser Arafat are awarded Nobel Peace Prize.
