Ways to Support Israel

Here's a list of a couple ways to support Israel in the current situation...

Stay Informed
During the current situation it’s important to say informed about what is going on in Israel. One of the best places to get information from is Israel itself. Check out these Israeli news sites to keep up on all the news.

Rally in Support
Help to organize and/or attend rallies in support of Israel held in synagogues or in local communities.

Educate Yourself
While it’s important to know about what’s happening now it’s equally important to know about events in the past. Visit the Jewish Virtual Library to read about Israel and Lebanon’s History.

Pray for Israel and for the captured Soldiers
If the prayers for the State of Israel and for Israel’s Soldiers are not already included in all of your Synagogues services suggest to your rabbi to have the congregation recite them. Click below for the text of the prayers.

Show your support
Tie a blue ribbon around a tree or mailbox in front of your home to raise awareness about the kidnappings and demonstrate your solidarity with the people and the state of Israel.

Urge your leaders to support Israel
Urge government leaders to support Israel's right to self defense and to take actions to limit the capacity for further aggression by the terrorist groups and their state sponsors, Iran and Syria.

Call on Lebanon and the UN
Call upon the Lebanese government and the UN to effect a complete implementation of U.N. Security Council Resolution 1559, which requires that Hezbollah be dismantled and all foreign militias — including the remaining Syrian personnel and Iranian Revolutionary Guards — leave Lebanon.

Support the Captured Soldiers
Call for the immediate and unconditional release of the Israeli soldiers being held by Hamas and Hezbollah and hold the governments of Syria and Iran responsible for these acts of aggression against Israel.
