Goal Setting
At the beginning of the year it is important for you to sit down and write down some goals that you hope to accomplish. Here is some advice for setting goals so that you can stay on top of everything.

When setting a goal, be sure to:

  • Be Reasonable:
While it is important to strive for great things, make goals that you feel you will be able to accomplish.
  • Challenge Yourself:
Set goals that you will have to strive for, that are possible but not too easy. The more effort you put into achieving your goal, the more successful you will be.
  • Make an Action Plan:
After establishing your goals, figure out exactly what you need to do to accomplish them and begin working toward them!
  • Communicate:
You want to be on the same page as the rest of your chapter and your youth director/advisor. Share your goals with them so that you can work together.
  • Follow Through:
Don't forget about your goals. Make sure to track your progress and stay on top of things so that you can accomplish all that you want.
  • Share Your Goals:
You can share with other Chapter IA VP's from across USY; email them to usychapterIA@yahoo.groups.com.
