Milestones in Israeli History

1988 - Israel Enters The Space Age
On September 19, 1988, with the successful launching of its first satellite, Offeq-1, Israel entered the space age.

Offeq - "horizon" - can be labeled a genuine "blue and white" satellite and Israel's "calling card" to the space age.

This event marked the kickoff of a new era of technological and scientific development, opening a whole new world for Israel and turning it into a partner in the sector of nations at the top of the technological world.
