1972- Terrorism at the Munich Olympics
On September 5, 1972 Arab terrorists belonging to the “Black September” terrorist organization burst into the quarters of the Israeli athletes at the international Olympic games in Munich, Germany, and murdered eleven of Israel’s top athletes in cold blood. The Olympic games, which symbolize man’s desire for brotherhood and peace, became games of death and bloodshed.
