USY Wired:
The USY Communications Competition
Dear USY,
My name is Brian Stone and I am from the Far West region. As the 2008 USY
Wired Chair I am in charge of running the International USY Communications Competition.
The USY Communications Competition is a challenge to all USYers out there to make your region the “Most Connected Region of the Year,” which is the award given to the region that best uses communication tools to promote USY. This will be the second year of the competition, and under my guidance, I hope it will be the best yet!
Through many different levels of communications, each region informs its USYers of event information. The goal of the USY Communications Competition is to get every region communicating efficiently with its members. Every month, points will be awarded to each region based on their communication activities, including: newsletters, regional websites, Facebook groups, Chapter Yellow Pages, etc. At the end of each month the award, “Most Connected Region of the Month” will be awarded to the region with the most points.
The USY Communications Competition is a regional challenge, and all USYers
are encouraged to participate. If you are interested in helping your region
“stay connected” contact your Regional
Communications VP.
Throughout the year I will work my hardest to help USY be as connected as possible.
I will also be assisting on several other USY Communications Projects.
If you need any help or have any questions, you can reach me at wired@usy.org.
Brian Stone,
USY Wired 2008
