About Shalhevet
Shalhevet is USY's Creative Arts magazine, first published in 1997. It contains prose, poetry,
and photography by USYers from across the continent, including many works inspired by USY summer
program experiences.
Editing Shalhevet is the main project of Sam Nassau,
the Shalhevet Chair on the USY International General Board. The logo for Shalhevet is formed of
Hebrew letters which spell Shalhevet, which means "flame" in Hebrew, arranged in the shape of a
flame.
Shalhevet comes out at every International Convention. You can also
request copies from the USY
Office by filling out the request form.
