Help with File Formats
GIF (pronounce like "giff", with a hard G)
A format used primarily on the Web which can be viewed in your Web browser.
TIF (Tagged Image File Format)
A good bitmap format for printed work. Use you Web browser to save and place
in your word processing or page layout program. Note that there are a few
flavors of TIF and some programs may only accept certain TIF files.
