Shalom,
My name is Yitzi Katz and I will be the Mid-Continent Regional Shaliach for this upcoming year and just wanted to take a chance to introduce myself to you.
I am twenty-two years old. After serving with the infantry Givati brigade I spent this past year teaching Jewish studies in several secular high schools in my hometown of Jerusalem. In addition I was a Philosophy student in the Open University in Jerusalem. Some of my hobbies include music and piano, and look forward to implementing my current skills into every day USY life, as well as within the communities across the region.
This past summer I was a madrich on the USY Spain / Israel Pilgrimage trip. This experience made me very excited to arrive here and begin my shlichut duties.
I look forward to meeting with all of you as this year progresses, and hope that we will be able to enhance our Israeli chavaya.
If you have any questions for me, or want to get a hold of me please do not hesitate to send me an e-mail or call the office.
Attached, is the first Israel update. Enjoy!
I want to take this opportunity to wish you a Shana Tova.
Yours truly,
Yitzi
