USY on Wheels, Bus E (East)
July 12, 2013
Bus E met up at B’Nai Zion and headed to Ruby Falls, an amazing underground waterfall in Chattanooga. Afterwards, the bus crossed the border into Georgia and made its first stop in Roswell, where the group got to play Whirlyball, which is a combination of basketball, hockey, and bumper cars. After this fun stop, Bus E went Shabbat shopping at Walmart. After unloading the bus for Shabbat at the hotel in Atlanta, Bus E came together for Kabbalat Shabbat, Maariv, and a nice dinner. Following ruach, the Wheelniks participated in gender bonding with the staff.

Bus E started off the day with shacharit and breakfast at the hotel. The first stop of the day was Louisville’s incredible Mega Cavern, an enormous underground limestone structure that used to be a bomb shelter and is now being used for more environmental purposes. Bus E took briefly left the time zone to visit the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky, where they took pictures with the cool cars and learned about the history of the brand. An afternoon drive to Chattanooga, Tennessee culminated in a delicious home-cooked meal of quiches and authentic Chattanooga desserts at B’Nai Zion Conservative Congregation. After dinner and a bonding activity, Wheelniks departed the synagogue for their home hospitality.
