Bus C started out the day with a look at the Amidah brachot during Shacharit, and had the opportunity to daven mincha outside. Driving through Yellowstone Park was a wonderful and gorgeous way to spend the day. The group got serious for their evening program, which was a Boundary Breakers bonding program led by David, the group leader.

Continuing their visit in South Dakota, Bus C started their day at the Corn Palace and then headed to Wall Drug, an outdoor shopping mall filled with many quirky stores and photo opportunities. Finally, they visited the world famous Mt. Rushmore and enjoyed some free time there to read about the history, buy souvenirs, and enjoy the tasty ice-cream available there. In the evening, the group had a bonding program consisting of putting on as many layers of clothing as possible and then completing challenges using the clothes they had. What a great day for Bus C!

Bus C had the great pleasure of being in South Dakota today! The day began with shacharit and worked on their tefillah goals in groups during the bus ride. The Spam Museum was their first stop, where they saw a video of the Spam-etts serenading them on all things Spam- tastic. This entire Museum is one big photo opportunity and was a lot of fun for the group. Then, they tackled the ever so difficult task of doing their own laundry. Finally, they concluded the evening relaxing back at the hotel together.

The First Shabbat

The first Shabbat as a group was spent in Madison. After an exciting, fun, and busy week, Bus C finally had a chance to relax, bond, and enjoy Shabbat.  First, they visited Mt. Olympus and then went Shabbat shopping, and then welcomed Shabbat as a group. Saturdays on wheels are spent having services and then dividing into sichot, learning sessions spent with staff members on a variety of topics, having free time, and also Havdallah.  The group talked about to overcome obstacles that keep you from praying which is an introduction to their tefillah journal. They concluded Shabbat with a super fun program called “Get To Know Your Staff” and they are looking forward to the week ahead.

June 27, 2013

Bus C’s morning started off with the ever so popular Amidah slide! It’s a fun and interactive way to chant the Amidah together and show off their dance moves at the same time. Then it was time to say goodbye to Cleveland and hello to Chicago. The group visited Millenium Park and then Navy Pier with a special challenge given by the staff to take a picture with someone wearing a Blackhawk’s shirt. What a fun day for Bus C!
