The group started their day at Yad Lekashish, a non-profit based in Jerusalem that provides employment and social services to over 300 elderly artisans. Following that, they went to the Ramat, which offers a beautiful view of the city. They headed to Jerusalem next, and went toa promenade that overlooks most of Ammunition Hill. In the afternoon, they went to the Knesset and had the opportunity to listen to a former USYer who now works for a politician in the Knesset. He taught the group a little bit about Israeli politics. When that was over, they walked around Mount Herzyl, which serves not only as the Israel Defense Force’s official military cemetery, but also as the burial site for prominent Zionists, Israeli politicians, and other influential people for the state of Israel. The group then returned to the Fuchsberg Center and enjoyed a relaxing evening.

Today, Bus A davened shachrit in the morning and continued to learn the Amidah prayer. Then, they continued their New Orleans adventure. First, they went on a tour of the Ninth Ward followed by a walk on Bourbon Street! The group had an awesome time taking pictures and taking in the fun atmosphere around them. Later, they went to the French Quarter,Café Du Monde, followed by the aquarium. There’s definitely a lot to do and see here! In the evening, the group had some time to prepare for the Bus A Talent Show and then some free time before bed!

The group began their day davening shacharit, eating breakfast, and making lunches. After that, they loaded the bus and said their goodbyes to the Grand Canyon and got super excited for Las Vegas! On the way, they stopped at Red Rock Canyon for another gorgeous overlook. Later in the day, the group arrived at their host shul, had dinner, and went back to their home hospitality for the night and did some much needed laundry!

Everyone woke up ready for an awesome day today! After davening shacharit, eating breakfast, and making lunches, the group loaded the bus and headed for Atlanta! Once they arrived, they did some laundry and began planning their end of the summer banquet which will definitely be beautiful and emotional! In the evening, the group went to Stone Mountain for an awesome light show. Fantastic!

The day began with shacharit, eating breakfast, and making lunches. The Spam Museum was their first stop, where they saw a video of the Spam-etts serenading them on all things Spam- tastic. This entire Museum is one big photo opportunity and was a lot of fun for the group. Then, when in Minnesota, they went to the famous Mall of America and had free time to walk and shop around. After that, they ate at Joe’s Ice Cream which was definitely delicious. Finally, they concluded the evening by going out to the ballgame, where they witnessed the Royals beating the Twins. Such an awesome day for Bus B!

The group started their day at Yad Vashem, Israel’s official memorial to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust.They then visited the Herzl museum, located on Mount Herzl. They learned about Herzl, his dreams and what he stood for. After an emotional yet interesting morning, they headed to go tree-planting in the JNF forest where they had the opportunity to plant a tree in honor or memory of anyone they wished to. They all really enjoyed themselves! In the evening, the group returned to the Fuchsberg Center and were treated to a wonderful, fun evening of drama games where they reflected on their past few weeks in an upbeat and unique way.

Today, on their final day of the trip,they toured Intercourse Pretzel Factory and got the chance to become professional pretzel twisters. After that, they went to the amazing Hershey World Of Chocolate. It was undoubtedly a sweet visit. This evening, the group came together to share memories of everything they have done this and accomplished on their incredible journey this summer. The kids have definitely made lifelong friendships and memories. Safe travels home, Bus E!
