Following that, they went to the Ramat, which offers a beautiful view of the city. They headed to Jerusalem next, and went toa promenade that overlooks most of Ammunition Hill. In the afternoon, they went to the Knesset and had the opportunity to listen to a former USYer who now works for a politician in the Knesset. He taught the group a little bit about Israeli politics. When that was over, they walked around Mount Herzyl, which serves not only as the Israel Defense Force’s official military cemetery, but also as the burial site for prominent Zionists, Israeli politicians, and other influential people for the state of Israel. The group then returned to the Fuchsberg Center and enjoyed a relaxing evening.
