Bus E left New York and headed for Canada! They began with davening shacharit together and loading the bus for the long drive. When they arrived, they spent the day at the Ontario Science Centre where they excercised their minds and had a lot of fun all at the same time. After that, they headed to Toronto and ate dinner at their host shul before being picked up by their host homes and getting some rest for their wonderful day tomorrow.

Bus E had a great end of the week! They davened shacharit together, made lunches, ate breakfast, and then headed for Rosamond Gifford Zoo! They saw many awesome animals and stayed there to enjoy their lunches. Later on, they were off to Big Don’s Mini Golf! After hitting 40 holes-in-one, (just kidding),they went Shabbat Shopping and prepared for Shabbat as a group.

What a great day for Pacific Northwest! The group woke up, davened shacharit together,ate breakfast, made lunches, and then were off for a full day of fun. They went to Gas Works Park, a beautiful area to sit and have a picnic. Then, they went to Theo Chocolate Factory Tour (yum!) Finally, Fremont Troll which is a quirky and fun full of creativity and some little shops to see. Later in the evening, the group had a SATO program called “Teen Feed”. After that, their host homes picked them up and it was lilah tov to PNW!
PNW ended the week with an exciting day in Portland. First, there was a tour of the Oregon Jewish Museum, followed by the International Test Rose Garden. This is a breathtaking garden that the Wheelnik’s undoubtedly took out their cameras to capture. Finally, the group went to OMSI, The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, which is a science and technology museum. Then, the group welcomed Shabbat together and they are all looking forward to relaxing, learning, and bonding together.

The group started their morning at the Genscher Cemetery in Warsaw, which has graves of various leading rabbis. Afterwards, they walked along the Heroes Trail around the Warsaw ghetto and learned about those heroes during the ghetto uprising. Next, they headed to the Umschlagplatz, the deportation site of the Jews. The group then went on a tour of Treblinka, the extermination camp, and participated in a memorial ceremony there. Next, the group headed to the old town square for some free time and dinner before heading to the airport! Everyone is really excited to get to Israel!

The group spent a wonderful night at the Bedouin tent and woke up bright and early for a delicious breakfast before heading out to climb Masada. On top of Masada, they davened a spiritual shacharit while looking at the beautiful view. They continued to Ein Gedi, where they got to spend some time in the fresh water spring. After that, they headed to the Dead Sea, painted themselves in mud, and enjoyed floating around in the water! Eilat was next and they will staying there for the next two nights. In the evening they will be spending some free time on the promenade of Eilat.

The group began their morning with a wonderful water hike at the Majraseh nature resort. Then they headed to Har Bental, a mountain overlooking Syria, where they learned about the importance of the Golan Heights for Israel and discussed the significance of the Yom Kippur War. They continued to Kibbutz El Rom to visit the “Oz 77” monument on the very battlefield where tanks clashed in 1973. There, they saw a short film about the heroic Oz 77 Tank Brigade, which fought against overwhelming odds to successfully defend the Golan during the Yom Kippur War. The group then spent some free time in Tiberias, eating dinner and experiencing the city. This evening they will be enjoying an exciting Gadna/IDF night activity.
