July 16, 2013

It was a wonderful Tuesday for Bus H! In the morning, since it was Tisha B’Av, the group continued learning about this important day after davening shacharit. Later on, they were headed to NASA! It was definitely a highlight of their day because they really enjoyed learning about the history of our space program. In the evening, they ate a delicious dinner at their host shul and then they went back to their host homes for the rest of the evening. The group is very excited to continue their Texas adventures!

July 15, 2013

The group began their day davening shacharit, eating breakfast, and making lunches. Then, Bus H did a community service project with Youth Rebuilding New Orleans, where they helped rebuild homes by cleaning in and around the houses. In the evening, the group learned about Tisha B’Av because it began this evening. It’s the time to mourn and remember the destruction of the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem. They each read eicha together and it was definitely a moving experience.

July 16, 2013

It was a great day for Bus E! They first davened shacharit together and then hit the road for some exciting sites. First they went to Kennedy Space Center and then did a volunteer project with Mustard Seed- a charity that provides furniture and clothing to struggling families. Then in the evening, the group broke the fast with a delicious dinner and then had a relaxing evening program to close their day.


July 15, 2013

Bus E is officially headed for the Sunshine State! They began their morning eating breakfast, making lunches, and davening shacharit together. They later stopped at the beautiful Butterfly Rainforest.  Tisha B’Av began this evening so the group sat down and read eicha together and learned a little bit about this important day in Judaism.

July 16, 2013

It was another fun and exciting day in Los Angeles for Bus C! They first davened shacharit together and then hit the road for some exciting sites. First they went to Beit T’Shuva and then the Museum of Tolerance. After that, the group hit the famous Rodeo Drive for some free time. They concluded this awesome day by eating a delicious pizza dinner and hanging out at the Santa Monica Pier.

July 15, 2013

Today was filled with some of the wonderful things LA has to offer. They went to Hollywood Boulevard and then spent the rest of the day at Universal Studios! This evening, the group got together for a more serious night. It was the beginning of Tisha B’Av so they talked a little about this  important day and then read eicha together.

July 17,2013

The group began their morning with an amazing overlook in the upper Gallilee-  Metula. They then continued with a pleasant hike at Nahal Snir before setting out to river rafting down the Jordan River. This was a great experience and everyone enjoyed splashing around in the water. They visited Kibbutz Naot Mordechai, where the famous Naot shoes are manufactured, and then spent a wonderful night in Tiberias before returning to their base.
