Bus C had a nice relaxing day today. They started off by swimming and soaking up some sun at Moonlight Beach near San Diego. From there, the group will head back to get some yummy snacks for Shabbat and then arrive at their hotel and get ready for another excellent Shabbat. Bus C cannot wait to celebrate their Israel themed Shabbat this weekend!

After having special prayer opportunity over a beautiful California sunset by saying the blessing of “oseh ma’aseh b’reishit, ” Bus C began today by davening Shaharit and heading to San Diego. In the morning they visited the world famous San Diego Zoo and had lots of fun walking around and seeing all sorts of interesting animals from around the world. Next the group drove to Seaport Village where they had free time to browse the shops and check out the beach. Later, the wheelniks will head back to their host synagogue for Sihot, a BBQ-Pool Party, and head off to their host homes to cap off their evening!

This morning Bus C was joined by Jules Gutin, former director of USY, for an energetic Shaharit. Next, Bus C visited the Museum of Tolerance and took in the extremely powerful exhibits. Later the Wheelniks headed over to Beit Tshuva, a Jewish rehabilitation center in L.A., where the group learned about this wonderful organization and heard from patients that they help. Then the Wheelniks went out to see all their favorite stars at the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Later, the group will convene with all the other Wheels groups in L.A. for a fun night on the Santa Monica Pier!

Today Bus C got up early for what is one of the most fun days on Wheels: Disney Day! Before they got to the park, they had a lively Disney-themed Shaharit service! Bus C had a fantastic day with Mickey and Co. as they rode the rides and experienced all the fun at this fantastic park. Almost as great as the park was the chance to meet up with friends from the other Wheels buses who joined them at Disney to share in the fun. In the evening, the group will have a chance to see the beautiful Disney fireworks display. After a long day the group will return to their hotel for the evening.

The Wheelniks had a great Shabbat together as a Bus C community. Today, they woke up early to volunteer at the San Fran AIDs walk. The bus made a huge impact and had a lot of fun while doing so. They then made their way to LA and worked on Tefillah Goals along the way. We’re ready to start our week in LA with the other Wheels Busses!
