Bus B had a rousing start to their day with a lively I-Pod Shaharit that the Wheelniks loved. They continued on to the SPAM museum, to learn about what used to be a quintessential American, snack food. Following this, the group had informative Sihot sessions and lunch at Lake Harriet, one of the beautiful lakes of Minnesota. To end their day, the group is spending some quality time at the wondrous Mall of America, a mall like no other!

July 30, 2012

This morning Bus B began the ride to Sioux Falls. The group’s first stop was at wheels favorite, Wall Drug. Wall Drug is a local drug store famous for providing any and all visitors with free ice water. the Corn Palace in Mitchell, SD. . Later, Bus B visited the Corn Palace in Mitchell, SD. The Corn Palace is an old High School gym that has been converted into a museum and a store where one can buy tons of products and souvenirs made with corn. In between these two stops, the group got some great shots of the Badlands, one of the amazing sites of the Midwest! The group cannot believe they are crossing back into the Central time zone, as they make their way back East!

Bus B had a relaxing day today on their drive to Billings, Montana. They thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful scenery out of Yellowstone and also the opportunity to have a nice, long drive where they could bond with their friends. Once in Montana, the group will perform their usual Shabbat shopping and buy fun gifts for their Shabuddies. Bus B cannot wait to spend their penultimate Shabbat in Big Sky Country! Shabbat Shalom!

Bus B began their day with their usual “Thankful Things Thursday.” Before services began, there was an optional walk to “Artist’s Point,” a lookout over Yellowstone. The views were beautiful. From there, they did a driving tour of all the hot spots of Yellowstone: Mammoth Hot Springs, Old Faithful, Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, and the General Store. Later in the day, the group will end their eventful day with Sihot and a group activity!

Bus B started off their day with Shaharit k’yaheed, an individual Shaharit service where the Wheelniks had a chance to pray in a beautiful area right on the lakefront outside their hotel. After services, they headed out to the Idaho Potato Museum, where they learned all about Idaho’s greatest export. Following this, Bus B went to Yellowstone Bear World, a drive-thru wild life park to learn about all different types of bears. Later, the group will drive to Yellowstone National Park and enjoy the outdoors for the evening. They will finish with gender bonding programs later!

July 24, 2012

Bus B started off their day with an inspirational Shaharit service. They shared their own versions of testimonies of faith- moments the Wheelniks really felt God in their own lives. It was an eye-opening experience. Following this, the group headed to the Pioneer Day Parade, which celebrates the Mormons arrival into Utah. Later, they got a tour of the Temple Square. It’s been quite interesting to learn about such a fascinating religion. Afterward, the group will head to the Olympic Park where they will ride a ski lift. To end the day, the group will eat a yummy dinner at the hotel, have the ever exciting Sihot, and check out the local Rodeo…Giddy Up!
