Bus E had a great last day on the road! They began with a riveting prayer service at their host synagogue. Back on the road, the group stopped at the Intercourse, Pennsylvania shopping center to do some last minute gift shopping and then a tour at the Intercourse Pretzel Factory, where they sampled some delicious treats! To end their day, the group went to Hershey World of Chocolate, where they enjoyed the 3d show and some tasty chocolate!

Bus B  started off their day with a great alternative Shaharit service, where they learned prayers in sign language and also filled out their Tefillah journals. Following this, the group had a long drive from Reno to Salt Lake City. Later, once they arrive in Utah, the group will learn from a speaker about the connection between Mormonism and Judaism. The group can’t wait to learn about this interesting connection!

Bus C had a bright and early wake up today for a beautiful sunrise Shaharit! Afterward, they traversed their way around the area for a wonderful hike. From there, the group headed to Flagstaff to participate in a great Mitzvah project by volunteering. Finally, they ended their day with an important laundry time to get all their clothes clean for the coming week!

Today, Bus H continued their Mitzvah-fueled days by volunteering at the Food Alliance, a meals on wheels type of organization, where the group helped pack various meals for those in need. Following this, they had a wonderful trip to see the sites at Slide Rock State Park. They will end their day at the Grand Canyon to see one of the most beautiful places in our country.

Group 8 started their day at Yad Vashem, Israel’s official memorial to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust. Then they went to the Herzl museum, located on Mount Herzl. They learned about Herzl and his dreams. They walked around Mount Herzl, which serves not only as the Israel Defense Forces’ official military cemetery but also as the burial site for prominent Zionists, Israeli politicians and figures who have greatly influenced the development of the state. They stopped at the graves of Herzl, Yoni Netanyahu and Michael Levin. After having lunch, they drove to Tel Aviv and had a tour of the Olympic museum where they heard stories about the Olympic winners from Israel and their achievements. In the evening they had some free time in Tel Aviv.

The group spent their day learning about Mitzvah and Tikun Olam work with mitzvah hero, Danny Siegel. They began their day at Israel’s National Therapeutic Riding Association (INTRA) which offers therapeutic riding to Israeli soldiers who have been injured during active army service. Everyone had the opportunity to brush, clean, and lead the horses. After eating lunch, they heard from a special lady named Ruth who volunteers as a coordinator for victims of terrorist attacks and therapists. In the evening, the group enjoyed a fun activity similar to the game “Life”.
