Group 1 landed at Ben Gurion Airport early this afternoon excited to be in Israel. They got their luggage, loaded the bus, and headed up north. On their way, they stopped for orientation at Beit She’arim, the location of the Sanhedrin(religious high court) during the Roman time. They held a welcoming ceremony and said the she’hecheyanu blessing. They arrived at Kibbutz Hanaton, the Conservative kibbutz in the north of Israel, their base for the next few days. After dinner, they had ice-breaker games and an orientation for the exciting summer ahead.
