Opening Session:
International Convention 2006 officially kicked off today with Opening Ceremonies. More than 1,100 USYers and over 300 staff, representating all 17 regions of USY, despite being tired after their preconventions, overpowered everyone with their ruach! The 2006 International Executive Board and the 2006 Co-Chairs, Ross Broms and Joshua Goldberg, then welcomed everyone. USY Director Jules Gutin also introduced the study theme of the convention, which will focus on the Jewish Calendar and Jewish Holidays.
