USY on Wheels,
Bus H


Sunday, June 26th :
On Sunday Bus H drove to Little Rock where they visited the recently opened Clinton Presidential Library. In the evening, the group had committee meetings and free time at the pool.

Monday, June 27th :
On Monday, Mission Mitzvah visited Central High Museum, the first integrated school. They then drove to Oklahoma City and arrived at a local synagogue for home hospitality. They participated in an education session and then had dinner. After dinner, the group played the supermarket game. Teams were given money to buy non-perishable items to make a full dinner and three items that had Kashrut symbol. All the items were donated to food bank on Tuesday.

Tuesday, June 28th :
On Tuesday, the group visited the Oklahoma City bombing memorial and museum. With the food from the night before, they participated in a volunteer project at a food bank. They returned to the synagogue for a pool party and BBQ.

Wednesday, June 29th :
From Oklahoma City the bus drove to Amarillo, Texas. They participate in a volunteer project at Salvation Army preparing and serving a meal. In the evening the bus will see the Texas Legacy show, a history show at the base of a canyon in Amarillo.

Thursday, June 30th :
Mission Mitzvah continued their travels in the southwest. On their way to Albuquerque they stopped at Cadillac Ranch, a fun stop on the highway that has Cadillacs sticking up from the ground that passers by can spray paint. In the afternoon the group had free time in Old Town Albuquerque. The group had dinner at a local synagogue and then went to Hinkle Family Fun Center for a night of laser tag and arcade games.

Friday, June 30th :
On Friday, Mission Mitzvah drove for a long time stopping at the Painted Dessert and Petrified Forest on their way to Phoenix. They went Shabbat shopping and began their second Shabbat full of rest and relaxation.
