Group 5 started their day at a beautiful overlook of Haifa. Then they went to the Usafia Druze Village where they were hosted to a kosher and delicious Druze meal, which is one of the food highlights of the summer. They learned more about the Druze religion and the unique rules in the small community. Their next stop was the ancient city of Acco. There they had the chance to explore a crusader fortress. From Acco they headed to Rosh Hanikra where they walked through beautiful grottos that were formed by water hitting the rocks for hundreds of years. In the evening, they returned to kibbutz Hannaton and to enjoy free time.

Group 8 started their day in Tel Aviv, where their first stop was Independence Hall, where David Ben Gurion declared Israel an independent country. They went to Dialogue in the Dark where they were led by an experienced tour guide who was blind, through darkness. After lunch they went to Kikar Rabin, the site of Yitzchak Rabin’s final hours, as he went to a peace rally and was then assassinated. Then they headed up north to Kibbutz Hannaton where they will have some free time and games in the evening.

Bus A had a nice long drive to the Grand Canyon today. On the way, they had informative Sichot in their small groups. Later on, once they get to their sleeping area for the night, the group will participate in the always exciting gender bonding programs. Bus A cannot wait to explore the natural wonders of the Grand Canyon tomorrow!

Bus E had a great last day on the road! They began with a riveting prayer service at their host synagogue. Back on the road, the group stopped at the Intercourse, Pennsylvania shopping center to do some last minute gift shopping and then a tour at the Intercourse Pretzel Factory, where they sampled some delicious treats! To end their day, the group went to Hershey World of Chocolate, where they enjoyed the 3d show and some tasty chocolate!

Bus B  started off their day with a great alternative Shaharit service, where they learned prayers in sign language and also filled out their Tefillah journals. Following this, the group had a long drive from Reno to Salt Lake City. Later, once they arrive in Utah, the group will learn from a speaker about the connection between Mormonism and Judaism. The group can’t wait to learn about this interesting connection!

Bus C had a bright and early wake up today for a beautiful sunrise Shaharit! Afterward, they traversed their way around the area for a wonderful hike. From there, the group headed to Flagstaff to participate in a great Mitzvah project by volunteering. Finally, they ended their day with an important laundry time to get all their clothes clean for the coming week!

Today, Bus H continued their Mitzvah-fueled days by volunteering at the Food Alliance, a meals on wheels type of organization, where the group helped pack various meals for those in need. Following this, they had a wonderful trip to see the sites at Slide Rock State Park. They will end their day at the Grand Canyon to see one of the most beautiful places in our country.
