Thursday, June 30th

This morning Bus D began the ride to Rapid City. The group’s first stop was at the Corn Palace in Mitchell, SD. The Corn Palace is an old High School gym that has been converted into a museum and a store where one can buy anything he or she ever wanted associated with corn. Next the group drove to the beautiful Badlands National Park for some picturesque views and Mincha. Later, Bus D visited a wheels favorite, Wall Drug. Wall Drug is a local drug store famous for providing any and all visitors with free ice water on their travels. Finally, the group rounded out the day with a trip to visit the presidents at Mount Rushmore. After snapping plenty of pictures it was off to the hotel for dinner and a good night’s rest.

Thursday, June 30th

Bus C began their day in Cleveland. In the morning, the group davened shahcarit and learned about the choreography of the Amidah. Next, the group watched the classic film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off as they rode to Chicago. When they arrived in the Windy City, the wheelniks had a chance to explore the shops at Navy Pier and take in the views of the city and Lake Michigan. Later on, Bus C headed up north and enjoyed a delicious dinner at Ken’s Diner, a wheels favorite. Bus C finished day by having separate boys and girls activities.

Thursday, June 30th

Today Bus A spent the day in the nation’s capitol. In D.C. the group began the day at the Newseum, a fun and interactive museum about the news industry. Afterwards, Bus A visited the National Holocaust Museum and took in the powerful exhibits inside. Later the group explored the Smithsonian museums including the famous Air and Space museum, the National Gallery of Art and the Natural History museum. In the late afternoon the group visited the Lincoln and WWII memorials. The group finished the day with a pool party and BBQ at a local synagogue.
